Aly Eissa (born 1993) is a self-taught oud player, composer and improviser from Cairo. His mentors were the legendary composer Abdo Dagher and the oud virtuoso Hazem Shahin. Eissa's style is deeply rooted in Egyptian classical and folk traditions, and influenced by various genres. Since 2012, Eissa has regularly presented his compositions with an ensemble in Cairo. His first album “Gouda Bar” was released by Akuphone in spring 2023. Aly is currently a resident at the Cité des arts in Paris.
