For two decades, Electron has been the annual gathering place for all electronic tribes, which it brings together by exploring the major trends, as well as emerging, innovative and hybrid styles, clubbing evenings and live performances as well as meetings. you multidisciplinary, including dance, cinema, contemporary art, digital art or VJing. Taking up the challenge of an event at the cutting edge of creativity, it has become, over time, a reference of its kind and takes over the heart of Geneva every year. The first festival of electronic cultures in the city of Calvin, it paved the way for numerous events, while retaining its own identity and singularity. 

At the dawn of its third decade, Electron approaches this new challenge by inviting its audience to delve into the foundations of Detroit electronic music, that carried by a handful of precursors in the early 80s, in four essential events: photo exhibition, a Late Night in collaboration with the Grand Théâtre de Genève, a foray into the Geneva underground and a conference/workshop center. 

Now split into two parts – a formula that it wishes to perpetuate for future editions, with a first act in the spring and a second in the fall – the Geneva festival will thus deploy its first sail from April 18 to May 12, 2024, with the firm intention of taking its audience on a journey. Or more precisely to take a leap back in time, to the origins of electronic music, that of Detroit and its founding fathers, The Belleville Three, by taking an adventurous look at what was one of the greatest musical upheavals of the 20^th century.
