The 2026 edition marks a special moment: the Geneva Dance Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary! For the occasion, it is deploying its program in eight municipalities – Geneva, Carouge, Lancy, Meyrin, Onex, Confignon, Bernex and Vernier – and inviting the public to discover the richness and diversity of dance in all its forms.

Nearly 40 shows and performances by professional artists, 15 sets of demonstrations by amateurs, 80 introductory courses, and numerous festive events make up this anniversary edition. Now-iconic events are making a comeback, such as the Meyrin Dance Festival, the Dance Supermarkets, Onex Scène, and Tattes & Danses.

Among the new features: the Rhône River is celebrated with a grand dance parade that follows the river before culminating at the Dance Village, located in the former TPG warehouses at La Jonction. The Quays of Dance will bring poetry and wonder to the Geneva quays. The flashmob Let's cuddle happily!, a lively zumba performance with Cité Seniors invites everyone to dance for love and togetherness.

True to its values, the Dance Festival aims to be open and accessible to everyone. Many events are free or offered at prices adapted to modest budgets.
