DJ Jack The Menace
Fascinated by good music since his youth, the dream of DJing began in 1986 in the evening at "Midnight", taped next to the DJ. What had to happen happened: The "Invaders" themed evenings gave him even more desire, he mixed himself for the very first time in 1988: in the evening at the "Bouffon" with the Matchbox team, who had invited to mix with them. Already back then, Jack had a nice collection of vinyl records, and what started as a “rock” party today includes a varied repertoire of honest, handmade music, with the oldies from 1957 to 1977. rock n roll, it is especially the black-American music which inspired him enormously. Tried and true tracks from garage, rhythm & blues, reggae, ska & rocksteady, soul, associated with the thirst for discovery and treasure hunt.
What matters most to Jack is sharing and communicating with the public. It's not enough for everyone to dance, but for people to also have fun listening.
In 35 years of DJ Jack La Menace's career, he was particularly marked by the evenings at the Usine, the Surf evenings at the time of Pulp Fiction, but just as much by the fact of ensuring the music during multiple concentrations savage American cars. What characterizes him until today is his musical openness, but also the courage and the desire to mix in places/countries where he has not yet been, to mix in a place where we don't know him. Mix alone or in pairs, depending on the moment and the person.
“I want people to be happy and to the full, from start to finish”. We look forward to discovering the musical delights that Jack La Menace will bring us this time!
Mr Cleanhead
Lover of soul and black music in general. Mr Cleanhead has been collecting Jamaican nuggets for more than ten years. With a clear preference for the Rude period of Reggae music (1969-1972), he particularly likes soul-inspired tracks and demonic synth solos! His favorite Jamaican artists are Toots, The Upsetters and The Pioneers!
With an only 45's selection, Mr Cleanhead will take you on a journey between the soul of Motown and the reggae skinhead of London's golden years!
Jerry D (SWR/Rudeness/Retroactives).
Rhythm N'Blues, Ska, Soul, Rocksteady, Funk & Early Reggae.
Since 2001.
Fred D'Agen aka Friedrich Vagen Von Dangerous!
Eclectic passionate about Sixties Francophone music, Garage Sixties, Soul, Northern Soul, he takes a liking to playing records in the nineties, to share his love of music.
A hunter of 45s just like his sidekick Jack la Menace from Dig it records, he is looking for the nugget that will make people explode on the dance floor.
“What excites me the most when I play records is to see people happy with the monster smile, dancing hard and shazaming without finding the song I'm playing. That's when I tell myself that I know why I'm doing this. »
