Description:Saturday May 25: Open Cellars, the day!
Nearly 80 cellars will meet you in the Geneva countryside on Saturday May 25, to be found on our carte interactive des Caves Ouvertes.
Quality at the rendezvous
Geneva, the third wine-producing canton of Switzerland, enjoys a particular situation with its three specific regions: Mandement, the regions between “Arve and Rhône” (Lully, Bernex, Soral, etc.) and between “Arve and Lac” (Jussy , Anières, Gy, etc.). On Saturday May 25, nearly 80 cellars in the canton will welcome the population to present the excellent 2023 vintage and the 2022 barrel-aged wines. This day of discoveries will also be an opportunity to take a magnificent walk in the Geneva countryside, to go from village to village and to travel through these three regions, each of which has its own character.
The day pass and the engraved glass
The day pass will be sold for CHF 20.- on site by the cellars. It will allow you to receive the famous tasting glass created especially for the occasion. Designed for qualitative tasting, its base is also engraved with the coat of arms of the canton.
Public transport for the Open Cellars day
In order to facilitate travel in the Geneva countryside, a collaboration has been set up with Unireso, free shuttles make it easy to go from one village to another in the Mandement region on the right bank.
