The blues is music for all eras, and multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Cedric Burnside is widely considered an example of its timeless prescience. Born in Memphis in 1978 and raised in northern Mississippi, he absorbed the heritage of Hill Country Blues, playing with his grandfather from a young age and becoming an artist in his own right in this distinct tradition.
