The City of Geneva is organizing a climate week for the first time from Wednesday November 22 to Sunday December 3, 2023. Debates, workshops and even film screenings will allow citizens to better understand climate issues and the solutions available to them. to reduce their carbon footprint.
Climate week addresses various themes linked to consumption, such as food, energy efficiency, sustainable tourism or fair trade (particularly around Green Friday on November 24).

Several workshops are also organized by and for young people to encourage their participation in fighting the climate crisis, with Swiss Youth for Climate and step into action as main partners.

Renowned speakers are on the program: Timothée Parrique, Marc Muller, Martine Rebetez, Jean Jouzel, Franck Courchamp, Valentine Python, François Gemenne, Christophe Clivaz, Christian Brunier, Benjamin de Molliens.

Numerous activities are offered by the City and its partners to raise public awareness of the energy and digital transition, as well as the circular economy with “a circular safari”. Collaborations, notably with MEG, MACO, Impact Hub, APRES, Swiss Federation of Enterprises, Swiss Fair Trade, the University of Geneva, SIG, IDDEA Prize, the International Glacier Film Festival (FIFG) and the FILMAR festival are also on the program.
