Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek lives up to its name, which literally translates to “ocean lightning and thunder”. Born in 2014, and with two albums and an EP under their belt, the band have built a formidable reputation with their intoxicating blend of Anatolian folk, 1970s Turkish rock, psychedelia, pop and jazz. New interpretations of Turkish classics and the band's original compositions are perfectly linked by their inventive arrangements and captivating grooves. Led by the formidable Turkish singer, bağlama player and multi-instrumentalist, the four musicians promise an electrifying and highly danceable show!
