The fantastic Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO), composed of 15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensembles, has been the home orchestra of Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC since 1988 and spends more than a third of the year touring worldwide. The longtime conductor and music director is none other than virtuoso trumpeter and nine-time Grammy Award winner Wynton Marsalis, arguably the most influential jazz musician of the moment and the only musician to have won this award in two different categories—jazz and classical—in the space of a year (1983-1984).
