From flamenco to blues and dazzling bel canto vocals: the Geneva Chamber Orchestra and South African soprano Pretty Yende take us on a tour of the world in just over 60 minutes. Hailed for her exceptional voice and magnetic presence, Pretty Yende, born in 1985 in a township in Piet Retief, shines on opera stages all over the world. In 2023, invited to sing at the coronation of Charles III, she shared her passion for opera with tens of millions of viewers. A consecration for the one who speaks of opera as a “gift for Humanity”, adding that “this art has something divine which must be shared”.
