Taipei Houston is a duo from the Bay Area in Northern California. Comprised of brothers Myles (drums, guitar) and Layne Ulrich (lead vocals, bass), who play drums and bass respectively, the band was born out of the two brothers' return to their childhood home during the pandemic. They then moved to Los Angeles, and once they were able to perform on stage again, they began performing concerts all over Southern California.

On their forthcoming EP, Once Bit Never Bored, Taipei Houston viscerally draws on the best elements of the past 30 years of rock 'n' roll, layering the frenzy of garage rock with the fuzzy overdrive of grunge, and the unrelenting instrumental range. effort of psych rock. The band's megawatt, smooth songs instantly evoke other iconic duos, such as The Kills, Death From Above 1979 and, of course, The White Stripes.
