Our next concert, on Friday May 17, 2024 at Victoria Hall, will be entirely devoted to Romeo and Juliet. In the first part we will perform the overture from Gounod's opera, extracts from Prokofiev's ballet and Tchaikovsky's fantasy overture. The 2nd part of this concert will be devoted to Symphonic Dances taken from Bernstein's West Side Story (a “modern day” Romeo and Juliet, transposed to the Manhattan district).
