THE BANDULUS
The Bandulus (BAN-DOO-LOOS) are the fruit of the work of Jeremy Peña, a musician from Austin, Texas. After playing in such renowned bands as Los Skarnales and the Trenchtown Texans, Peña embarked on a solo journey to create the haunting fusion of traditional ska, reggae and soul that defines The Bandulus.

In 2010, they released their first full-length album, Ska.Reggae.Soul, which showcased the talents of respected musicians such as Vic Ruggiero of The Slackers, as well as Willy Camero, Patrick Kelly and Jonny Meyers of The Stingers ATX. This album allowed Peña to consolidate his live band, drawing inspiration from the vibrant music scenes of Austin and San Antonio. Their second album, The Times We Had, released in November 2012, received critical acclaim and landed on numerous ska and reggae top 10 lists. While remaining true to traditional '60s ska style, The Times We Had ventured into genre-transcending territories, always anchored by soulful influences and heartfelt lyrics. In January 2020, The Bandulus unveiled their third full-length album, Love A Woman, a captivating exploration of subgenres. Over the course of 14 tracks, they delved into early rock 'n' roll, infused heavy soul sounds, harmonized Motown-style over ska beats, and put a psychedelic spin on contemporary reggae production.

In March 2024, The Bandulus will release their highly anticipated fourth album “Tell It Like It Is”, recorded and mixed by the talented Nico Leonard, exclusively on Badasonic Records! Discover the undeniable charm and varied musical palette of The Bandulus during the “Badasonic Records Rocksteady Revue” tour. The Utopians
Prepare to be captivated by the fusion of rocksteady and funk that defines The Utopians – the epitome of coolness on the music scene.

Formed in 2021, this powerful ensemble brings together the crème de la crème, including former members of Moon Invaders and the incomparable Belgian-Congolese leader Nicolas Nsakala. Their electrifying energy and infectious melodies have already won over audiences across Belgium, France and Germany, earning them a loyal following who hang on to their every note. But that's not all: the Utopians had the incredible honor of opening for renowned Jamaican artists such as Winston Francis, Stranger Cole and Alpheus. These unforgettable experiences catapulted the Utopians to international fame, establishing them as one of the hottest bands on the ska-rocksteady circuit.

In April 2023, they released a stunning debut EP, showcasing their utopian vision and pushing the boundaries of what rocksteady and reggae can be. With a fusion of rhythms and influences that defy categorization, Utopians have created a sound that is undeniably cool and undeniably theirs. As they prepare to release their highly anticipated debut full-length album on Badasonic Records, their status as the ultimate game changers of the ska-rocksteady scene is sealed.
