La Canopée

Entirely dedicated to relaxation and getting back into shape, this ephemeral space near Baby Plage offers activities during the sunny days. 

This temporary summer space is dedicated to relaxation, well-being and sport.

La Canopée welcomes the public from June 7 to September 8, 2024, every day. 

Sports lessons and relaxation activities

The City of Geneva offers on the Canopée site sports lesson And free relaxation activities and open to all generations. 

These courses take place every day

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 7:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

In a shaded and planted environment, you can try out activities such as cross training, yoga, pilates or even zumba. It is not necessary to register in advance to participate in these courses.

Dance classes

Of the free courses dance will allow you to vibrate to the rhythm of the music, while enjoying the view. These courses take place: 

  • Wednesday evenings
  • Friday evenings
  • Saturday evenings
  • Sundays until 5 p.m.

The programming of dance activities is carried out by the DanSon association.

Stand-up evenings 

From July, Stand-Up evenings are offered by the Caustic Comedy Club on Thursday evenings, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

Games for all ages

Every Wednesday, entertainment and games for children and adults are made available to the public by the ludothèque des Eaux-Vives.

  • June: 2 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
  • July, August, September: 3:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Those who wish can also play petanque on developed land. 

Refreshment bar and food truck 

Throughout the duration of the event (from June 7 to September 8), welcome you on site at the water's edge: 

  • a refreshment bar, run by the association Everybody’s Perfect, the only LGBTIQ+ themed film festival in French-speaking Switzerland. 
  • two food trucks alternating from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. during the week and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends as well as on August 1st and September 5th.
