Description:Geneva will host the third edition of the festival “Tous à la plage” from June 25 to 27, an event festive and free, which will make the surroundings of the Baby-Plage and the Canopée stage vibrate to the rhythm of three different musical worlds. Conceived as a popular, inclusive and intergenerational event, the festival invites Geneva people as well as passing visitors to share three evenings under the sign of the music, dance and meeting.
Three evenings, three atmospheres
Thursday, June 25 – Afro-Latino
The opening night will feature afro-latino rhythms. On the Canopée, public will be able to participate in a salsa class offered by Vivien Hochstatter, before discovering the performances of Kalakuta Mentality and then extending the party with La Patrona Company and a DJ Set, “Wamheda”.
Friday, June 26 – Brass & Swing
The second evening will be dedicated to the world of swing and brass. The stage will host a swing class with Laurence Poillon, followed by a Big Band concert from the Geneva Conservatory of Music (CMG). The evening will continue with a jam session open to the spirit of sharing and improvisation that characterizes jazz.
Saturday, June 27 – Latino Night
To close the festival, a 100% Latino evening. On the program: salsa lessons and Son Latino concert to make the audience dance until the end of the evening.
A festival open to all
With its exceptional setting by the lake, its eclectic programming and its initiations to dance accessible to beginners and enthusiasts alike, Tous à la plage wishes to gather the widest possible audience. Families, young people, music lovers, experienced dancers, curious or simple walkers are invited to enjoy a moment of sharing and discovery in an atmosphere friendly and summery.
Through this artistic diversity, the festival aims to foster encounters between cultures, generations and the different audiences that make Geneva so rich and diverse.
