Anyone who has seen him in concert knows that Oddisee has a special flow! An acclaimed rapper and producer based in Brooklyn, he was born in Washington DC to a Sudanese father and an African American mother. Artemis is a band born from the imagination of pianist and composer Renee Rosnes. Named after the Greek goddess of the hunt, this multinational and multi-generational group brings together a stellar cast from the international jazz scene: each member of Artemis also has their own career as a composer and performer. Their music thus draws on each of their distinctive personalities, between original compositions and imaginative arrangements of a resolutely eclectic repertoire.
