Combichrist is Andy LaPlegua’s Norwegian EBM (or Dark Electro) band. It was during the summer of 2003 that Andy decided to create his new electro/industrial project called Combichrist, seeming to temporarily leave aside his other group, futurepop, “Icon of Coil” for a new genre of which they claim : the TBM, namely the Terror Body Music. Combining aggressive and effective rhythms with violent and deliberately extreme lyrics, punctuated by a voice of rare power, this style has been emulated by many, as evidenced by the Combichrist Army, which is gradually being built.

Like Gotham City after dark, London can be a playground for dark and dangerous people. In the same way that these iconic streets made Batman a fearsome vigilante, England’s capital has become a breeding ground for artists willing to break boundaries by any means possible. Don’t miss Mimi Barks, the doom-trap pioneer whose underground lifestyle rivals that of the Batcave.
“I call my music ‘doom trap’. It speaks for the marginalized: [an exploration of] the deepest darkness of the mind, from self-destruction to megalomania to spiritual awakening. We “We all wear a mask. We all have an ego. We all have a light side and a dark side. It’s just a matter of which one we choose to reveal…” Mimi Barks
