Double Murder, a new and exciting program of two ballets by internationally renowned choreographer Hofesh Shechter, which presents two pieces that are decidedly contrasting for our times.
Opening night for Clowns, a sarcastic nod to our growing indifference to violence. Originally created for the Nederlands Dans Theater 1, this piece was later produced as a film and broadcast on the BBC with great success. In a macabre comedy of murder and desire, Clowns unleashes a whirlwind of choreographic anarchy, testing how far we're willing to go in the name of entertainment.

As an antidote to the murderous and toxic energy of Clowns, Shechter's new creation, The Fix, brings a tender and fragile energy to the stage. It offers a raw and compassionate moment to balance the forces of aggression and violence that urge us on a daily basis. A shield to protect us from the noise of outside life, and a place that allows performers to be fragile, to be seen in their greatest human qualities. Violence, tenderness and hope are all laid bare through Shechter's strikingly beautiful cinematic lens.
Performed by its inimitable dancers and accompanied by the epic sounds of a score composed by Shechter, Double Murder explores painful truths and probes our deepest emotions.
