On one side, a vibrant Orient, rooted in a constantly reinvented tradition. Formed by composer and oud master Ahmad al Khatib and percussionist Youssef Hbeisch, the Sabîl duo creates music that is both ancient and resolutely contemporary, where rhythm and ornamentation lead us into a trance. On the other side, the bold and iconoclastic Béla Quartet navigates between the great Western repertoire and unusual musical encounters. Together, they merge their worlds to create a unique, mixed music that transcends all boundaries.
