A great precursor of the Brazilian Tropicália movement at the end of the 1960s, the multi-instrumentalist Gilberto Gil combines indigenous styles such as samba, MPB or bossa nova with rock and folk instruments to become one of the singer-songwriters the most famous in Brazil and in the world.
