Gnawa Diffusion is an Algerian group, founded in 1992 in Grenoble, by Amazigh Kateb, son of the Algerian playwright and writer Kateb Yacine. A guembri, kerkabs, instruments of the North African soil, the trance of the Gnawas, North African gospel which from suffering becomes liberation, endowed with a humor which pinpoints all the β€œtwisted” of the planet, sounds mixing the traditional with the modern, ranging from Gnawi to Rock via Rap, Reggae, Blues, Jazz and Chaabi: the decor of Gnawa Diffusion is planted and the caravan gets underway.

Live Dub Experiment is the meeting of a β€œbass/batt” with a strong dose of electronics and various and varied machinery as a binder. We bass, Yann Phayphet (Sir Jean, Electrophazz, Eym Trio). At the crossroads between music and electronics, he manufactures most of all the electronics allowing the duo great freedom in the treatment of sound on stage. On drums, Romain Frechin (Wailing Trees, Alibutton, Freshtet).
