Guitar Wolf is a Japanese garage punk band. Formed in 1987 in Nagasaki, the trio is mainly influenced by Link Wray, and the Cramps. Known for his screaming vocals, a loud punk style with an emphasis on distortion and feedback, he coined the phrase “jet rock ‘n’ roll”. An expression the band uses to describe their musical style, an energetic cross between Ramones, rockabilly, punk 77 and garage rock.
