It was in 2002 that Serge Teyssot-Gay, then a member of the group Noir Désir, and Khaled AlJaramani, a Syrian oud player, met in Damascus. The oriental oud/electric guitar dialogue is immediate, creating an interzone, a crossroads of their respective cultures, between Europe and North Africa. After five years of absence spent exploring other musical lands, these two exceptional musicians are finally reunited! In Geneva, they offer us meditative compositions quivering with melancholy, carried by sumptuous silences and electric and acoustic melodies, poetic and dreamy, serene and comforting. A daydream.
