MARISSA NADLER

Nearly 20 years of tirelessly writing new songs, touring and releasing albums, Marissa Nadler has one of the most unique and extensive collections of contemporary music. With her unique voice, she can be categorized into delicate folk, Americana, dark doom and meditative or experimental background music. Among her most significant influences, she counts artists such as Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Tom Waits, Patti Smith, Joni Mitchell or Leonard Cohen.

INNERWOUD

Innerwoud is a one-man-band of Belgian double bassist and composer Pieter-Jan Van Assche. After playing in several groups, from folk to neoclassical, he began to perform mainly solo, giving the double bass all the space available to speak and sing. The music is often referred to as ambient, drone and neoclassical. The drones are built live on top of each other, layering the different textures and sounds produced by the double bass. The result is a melancholy journey, wandering across wide open landscapes or languishing in nameless darkness, as the subtle melody illuminates the whole thing with humble light.
