Description:The 2025 National Day program will combine traditional activities, popular performances, and community-based stands. In a context marked by unprecedented attacks against international Geneva and humanitarian law, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will be the guest of honor for this edition.
For this 2025 edition of the Fête du 1er Août At La Grange Park, the Mayor of Geneva, Mr. Alfonso Gomez, wished to offer the population a festive celebration, with an eclectic program, which will combine traditional activities with performances for all audiences, sports activities, street art shows, a village dedicated to children as well as several concerts.
In a turbulent global context, the August 1st holiday, a time for convivial sharing, reflection and national pride, offers a precious opportunity to come together around common values. Mr. Alfonso Gomez's year as Mayor being placed under the theme of protection, the CICR will be the guest of honor of this edition, in order to show the importance for Switzerland, and for Geneva in particular, of the values of cohesion, peace and defense of the most vulnerable.
