After the release of DISSIDÆNCE Episode 1, warmly received by critics and the public, Vitalic keeps its promises and offers us a more techno and darker sequel than the first part, marked by a cold and minimal industrial aesthetic. A raw composition and production not unlike the post-cold wave heritage – rooted in the producer's DNA forever – and now claimed more than ever.

DISSIDÆNCE Episode 2 opens with “Sirens”, a dangerous electronic and sweaty tornado. Then “Dancing in the Street”, “The Void” & “Light is a Train” take place, perfect concentrates of refined, alarming, mechanical and cold techno. Faced with this hostility, beautiful moments of breathing and poetry with "Marching", "Friends & Foes" and "Winter is coming" giving way to melody and melancholy.

A two-headed project of which Vitalic has the secret, between implacable energy and strange cosmic journey.

Poltergeist, the artist, has this strange power of attraction. As soon as Ari Girard appears, something happens. Not that this kid of just twenty years old is physically imposing under his Peaky Blinder cut and his good-natured childish look. But he captures the light and strikes the spirits. Go find out why. Poltergeist effect? One can only be struck by the all-Germanic rigour, the intensity and the stature of his performances in view of his young age. “It surely comes from my training at the Conservatory” modestly explains the little prodigy.

Crazy about music. All the music he loves, it comes from there... While his parents are more punk and French rock, little Ari swears only by jazz, blues and rhythm'n'blues, "Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin , Sam Cooke…” Electro comes to adolescence when he takes Prodigy in the face. Then it is the journey towards New Order, Talking Heads, Kaftwerk or Rodolphe Burger, which founds his identifiable style among a thousand. Even if he is labeled “cold wave”, the extent of his musical culture impresses. Punk, post-punk, metal, pop, trip-hop, goth… this music nut does not forbid himself anything and gives the feeling of having listened to everything in so few years. Until the classic of his childhood. “I dream of a string quartet”.

Nicolas Junod, also known by his stage name Cadence, has been a techno producer and visual artist for 4 years. Passionate about electronic music at the age of 17, he was able to develop his own musical universe by mixing multiple oldschool influences from the world of trance and newschool techno.
Cadence thus offers a vision of the world very specific to him, through his melodic and striking productions merging tangy sounds and cadenced drums.
